umm, why not just answer his questions. The information you give is not stored with your name nor shared with the IRS. The purpose of gathering such info is for legitimate use. I am one that rarely gives out any personal info unless necessary but to a census worker I would not have a problem.

The purpose of gathering such info is for legitimate use. Not according to the Constitutional limitations prescribed for the census.

The purpose of gathering such info is for legitimate use. The legitimate Constitutional purpose of the census is to apportion representatives. Therefore they need a count of people every ten years. Asking questions about "mostly income and work-related stuff" between the ten year count isn't a legitimate use.

I think I'd have a problem; right off the top of my head, I'd be wondering why someone claimed to be collecting census data in the year 2005.

The information you give is not stored with your name nor shared with the IRS.That's the theory but neither you nor the Census Bureau have any control over what the interviewer does with the info he takes from you.

The information you give is not stored with your name nor shared with the IRS.Yes, the profile they gather on you, is perfectly safe. Just like our credit profiles and credit card numbers and accounts.

I am one that rarely gives out any personal info unless necessary but to a census worker I would not have a problem. What legitimate use is that? The use is to help the government run un-constitutional programs, and to provide free data that corporate america would otherwise have to pay to obtain itself. The only legitimate info that the Census should ask is how many people live in your house. That's it.

The information you give is not stored with your name nor shared with the IRS.This is no longer true.
Never give census works more than your name and the number of people living in your household. That is all the Constitution reqires.

The purpose of gathering such info is for legitimate use. I disagree Iggy. This information is used to social engineer society. It serves absolutely no purpose for people that have conservative principles.
