I can't recall a single incumbent senator winning a race after trailing this much in polls. Of course, I'm sure such exceptions do exist. Regardless, there is no way Santorum is going to win easily.

Early polling. He's fared badly in every poll he's run for office, but won on election day.. Sorta like Jesse Helms (never won a poll, never lost an election).

Anyway, I was just explaining the reference, seeing as the poster got banned. How long do you think before YOU get banned again and have to reincarnate as Natty Boh III?

My guess is that the same RINO moderates who urged conservatives to hold their nose and vote for Specter are not going to holld their own noses and vote for Santorum.

Specter always gets a pretty decent Democrat crossover vote (since that's what he is at heart) which easily made up for any disenchanted Toomey supporters.

I don't like Santorum. He is a condescending, self-righteous, piece of carp. I'll vote for my cat before I vote for him. LOL! How about telling us what your really think about Tricky Rick! I agree that VA ought to give back their third U.S. Senator. Casey will always give us less talk about man-dog sex, and even Casey lapses he won't lie on the radio about how his volunteered gaffes were taken out of context by the press.

This is common sense and moreover - it is obviously true. Someone has to say this. Too bad if people don't like it - if they want someone to lie to them, there are plenty of those. It doesn't take a village, it actually DOES take a family. Great. He's told the hundreds of thousands of married working mothers that they're lousy parents, and dissed the thousands of single working mothers to boot. Some may agree with him but I'm willing to bet that he's annoyed most of them.

Borderline mentally ill and having your children cuddle with it sounds like child abuse. Welcome to FR. Go back to DU.

As a conservative, why do republicans want or even need our votes???? Most republicans here on a "conservative" forum are only to quick with the acid tongue any time someone dares dissent. Are we to believe that we are to vote but not be seen or heard from?
Voting for the lesser of evils is a sure way to ruin this country. That republican lament has been going on far too long and has become the party battle cry.

I'm starting to wonder if Santorum could win an election on FR from the comments posted on here.

For the record I am not a republican, I am a"conservative". One is a party, the other is an ideology.

As he should be. An unborn baby is a human being, and it is wonderful that the childs brothers and sisters could see their little sibling before the body was (IIRC) cremated.
Do you object to open caskets at funerals, too?

Are we to believe that we are to vote but not be seen or heard from? Of course not, but the proper place for that type of dissent is in a primary. After the primary is over, conservatives need to come support whomever is the most conservative credible candidate in the race.
Besides, does anyone REALLY question Santorum's conservative beliefs?

I've kissed both my dead mother and my dead father. I would have no problem kissing my dead child, (God forbid) flesh of my flesh, blood of my blood.
Do you honestly think they brought their dead child home without first cleaning him/her up?
Santorum values life. Many voters do not. If I could (I don't live in PA), I would vote for Santorum.
