Are you unaware that the unemployment rate is 5%, or are you unaware of what that means in macroeconomic terms?
There are no other workers to fill those jobs. In, fact, since normal unemployment is 6%, that means that we do not have enough people to fill all of the jobs now available.
If the eleven million illegal immigrants were deported tomorrow, those eleven million jobs would go unfilled. If you personally know someone who claims to be unable to find a job because illegal immigrants have taken all the jobs, you should suggest to that person that they consider vocational counseling.
If the 11 million illegal aliens were deported tomorrow and 11 million additional legal immigrants were let into the United States tomorrow, then those jobs currently filled by the 11 million illegal aliens could be filled by the newly arrived 11 million legal immigrants.
