I was born and raised in Torrance, and went back down there in 2001 to take care of my mom. It is hotter than hades, and since it is "monsoon season", humid as well. How's the weather down there?

The other day, I put a thermometer outside, and it was 115 in the shade before noon. I'm in Victorville, and we're surrounded by thunderheads, and there are severe thunderstorm warnings on the weather channel. We're hoping that the rain finally hits Victorville and cools us down. Lucerne Valley, Hesperia, Apple Valley, Barstow, and the foothills have been socked with hail storms for two days, and we haven't gotten anything.

Must be the "Victorville bubble"...

Torrance, my neighboring town. When we were beach bum teenagers in the '50s we went there often (we called it Redondo Beach then, now it's called Torrance Beach). We shop in Torrance a lot.

The weather is great, I love it here by the ocean. Victorville sounds like Arizona with the high heat and monsoons. Beautiful but humid!
