It was Gov Davis who proposed building a new $300 million death row because the current one is double the built capacity. I think we have over 600 on death row.

Isn't it Texas who puts a five year limit on the appeal process?

Last I saw Cal puts 20+ per year on death row and we execute an average of 1.

Gotta get on with it!

Here's an idea: Just execute the bastards! That'll cure the overcrowding and save the citizens a lot of dough.

I believe that we do limit appeals. Also, anyone who gets a death sentance in Texas gets an automatic appeal to the Court of Criminal Appeals, our highest criminal court. The idea here is that it will get there anyway so go ahead and get it done quickly.
