Kerry has come along for the ride (Why Lance may be the winner but he's still a loser!)

Senator says it is his turn 'to collect' on an election-night promise

SAINT-ETIENNE, France – Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) watched Lance Armstrong win Saturday's 20th stage and says he's at the Tour to collect on a promise of a ride with the six-time winner.

Kerry said the promise was made election night, when Armstrong and girlfriend Sheryl Crow were in Boston to support the Democratic presidential candidate.

"I'm going to collect on my ride with Lance," Kerry joked. "Lance came to Boston on the night of my election. Lance and I promised each other a ride during the campaign, and I'm here to collect."

Kerry, 61, is an avid cyclist who said he rides three times a week and got the cycling bug during his childhood when his father worked at the U.S. embassy in France.

Kerry flew to France on Friday evening and will return to Washington on Monday. He said it was the first time he's traveled without bodyguards since before his presidential campaign two years ago.

"I think it's phenomenal," Kerry said of Armstrong's Tour dominance. "It's a huge sporting accomplishment. When you look at his personal story, to the quality of races, one of the great sport accomplishments of all time."

When asked if Armstrong has a future in politics, Kerry said yes, with a caveat: "It would be great, as long as he joins the right party."

Maybe John F'in Kerry can take a quick hop across the chunnel to London, and show how agile he is jumping turnstiles in their underground subway system.

Hey Senator? Carry my backpack for me?

Heh.

Fun watching Kerry, Schumer and Clinton racing to be the first in front of (not issues) cameras but I kinda miss the old face time hog....Jesse Jackson!

The desperation of the democratic party never fails to entertain, and one can never expect much from the "public opinion" party.

Democrats= "Where facts don't matter and whatever is cool to say or think, or associate with, must be true and right!"

Let me get this down...'Kerry's an avid cyclist'. I bet we'll find that he won the Tour de France back in the seventies just before he became a big war hero.

If Kerry had any character, which we know he doesn't, he'd have said Armstrong would be a credit to any party and that the country would benefit no matter what. But no, it's all about Kerry all the time.

Exactomundo...Kerry does things for the greater good of "John Kerry"...same with the Hildabeast...Hillary McClintoon...does what's in the greater interest of herself and all that is "evil" in the world.

This is Les Essarts (rear), Kerry's mansion in Franch which is situated for partying at the end of bike races.

With a mansion in Franch, his clothing outfits could be referred to as Franch Dressing.

The more serious question is: Did he pay for the trip over there, or is he charging it to taxpayers?

Reminds me of the lyrics "...she also told me, stay away, you'll never know what you'll catch..."

That's if you are to believe previous stories, posted here, about her history in the music biz.

Hey! This is Kerry! Such has been the Clintonian influence on the Dem party, he didn't say which election.

Of course, it could be that fantasy and reality are indistinguishable with JF'nK.
