Vandals are compounding the grief of a Tri-state soldier's family.
Not even 24-hours after Private First Class Tim Hines's wife and family said goodbye at his funeral, American flags that had adorned their Fairfield yard were piled beneath a car and burned....

I hope some locals find the little asses and administer their own form of justice, because the courts damn sure won't.
Apparently the neighbors feel that way. They live there, they know the problems. I find it highly dubious that there's rogue band of liberals looking to disgrace the flag and piss on the country. I agree with the neighbor, a bunch of alcoholic kids looking to start trouble.
But then again, knee-jerk reactions are not just the domain of liberals.

I think that Mr. Kramer is probably a pillar of the community considering his measured response. Drunk kids say I (unless you live in the community and have some special insight. I simply remember how stupid I was as a dumb-ass teenager).
It's also a suburb with spoiled rich kids used to getting their way, with their parents covering things up for them.
5:30 a.m. is a bit late/early for adolescent pranks, though.
If we didn't have the more-on.org crowd and the DUmmies saying the things they say about our soldiers, I would be willing to give that view a little credibility. However, having seen some what the Left can do and say, no-can-do.

What makes you think it would be some rich kids. Only affluent kids vandalize things? That really sounded like a statement that some lib would make. I don't mean to bust your chops, but people who have money aren't all bad people just like poor people are not always bad. By the looks of the neighborhood I would assume this was a working class area full of middle class people. If it were a Lexus on fire I would say you have a point.
Instead of keeping an eye on things I would suggest actually expending an effort to get the arsonists in prison.

Hopefully, somebody saw the perps, or the car they were driving, or anything that will help the police find them. Ohio is EDT, and it starts getting light out about a half hour before the sun came up at one minute to six this morning.
I can't imagine that people who respect the flag would pile them up and burn them, even if they were drunk out of their minds.
Alcohol brings out people's true nature, it doesn't usually make them do something they wouldn't otherwise be prone to do, but for inhibition.
