ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Sandia National Laboratories has completed a two-year study of the potential health effects associated with accidental exposure to depleted uranium (DU) during the 1991 Gulf War.
.....
Marshall's study concluded that the reports of serious health risks from DU exposure are not supported by veteran medical statistics nor supported by his analysis. Only a few U.S. veterans in vehicles accidentally struck by DU munitions are predicted to have inhaled sufficient quantities of DU particulate to incur any significant health risk. For these individuals, DU-related risks include the possibility of temporary kidney damage and about a 1 percent chance of fatal cancer.

This research report will be mis-reported and buried just like Health Effects of Low Level Radiation Exposure in Shipyard Workers, JHU Matanowski was. Just like the WHO on second hand smoke was. And on and on and on... See my tagline.

actually, i think the study is seriously flawed.

being hit by a depleted uranium round from an M1A1 is definitely hazardous to your health...

Well I searched google ("where quality news sources come first") news and found just a hand full of references to the study. Such as a Science Daily press release. Nothing MSM.

It's early though. I'm going to stay right here by the computer until the MSM and google ("where quality news sources come first") news report this good news. Then I'll post the articles -- probably be a ton of them.

Any minute now..

Hmm.. wait it's the weekend. Probably not many working the news rooms.

Still it can't take that long. I'll still wait.. right here. . . .

Oop found another one, it's from Webindia123, India.

This Washington Times article's already been posted.

I'll wait here by the computer until the NYT and such start rolling. . . .
