Unfortunately, he was/is a commie liberal. In one strip, Calvin refers to himself as "Captain Napalm, defender of the American way!" There were a couple of other strips that had propaganda like that, especially when he's arguing w/Suzie about playing war.

Who cares? There are some things that it doesn't matter what ideology the author is. Calvin and Hobbes is hilarious. And for those able to look past partisanship, Non-Sequitur makes you think
