Excellent explanation.
I knew they were warped, but never knew the full extent of the dysfunction. It's sick and twisted.
Makes the 72 virgins, or whatever it is, make much more sense now. What kind of religion promises something like that? One that is filled with lust for sex and power, appearently.

Those things are said for Tactical reasons necessary for the War on Terror. So don't expect any change in the rhetoric.
I would like to learn all I can so that I have a good defense against people who would defend the "religion of peace". You know, for those who say that it is just a small minority of radicals who give the religion as a whole a bad name.
The other thing I forgot to mention is how the church (Catholics, Evangelicals, Christians in general) can defend the religion of Islam when it teaches hate and is in every way Christianity's opposite. It's hard to reconcile for me.

Mo was illiterate. The Koran is literally the scraps taken from the trash and compiled into a book. His criminal associates wrote down his sayings.
Much of the book is just screwed up versions of Jewish or Christian stories from the Bible. That is the good part the rest is simply the lunatic ravings of a screwball. It is the worst religious writing known to man far less beautiful far less profound than the writings of religions thousands of years older.
The Thugs were not Moslem but Hindu.
I am not very well educated on Hinduism or Islam, for that matter. I thought Muslims hated Hidus too? Is that wrong?
Fanatic moslems hate every other religion. They attack their followers on every continent. A couple of years ago Islamic terrorists attacked the Indian Parlement and have killed hundreds of people in other attacks. Everywhere Islam touches the borders of another religion war and murder follow as sure as night follows day.
But even being a Moslem may not be enough to remain safe and secure thousands of Algerians have been slaughtered by these fanatics, all Moslems. The killers will enter a small village in the middle of the night and slaughter men, women and children for not being "religious" enough.
As the article says its origin was with a rapist, murderer, thief and pedophile. No other religion had a military leader as its originator. No other religion states that the "Way to Heaven is under an arch of swords."
Look at the Saudi flag.
Anyone who has not read the Koran should. It is incredibly boring but clearly illustrates the lack of wisdom and humanity which is Islam.
Christians become worse when deviating from Christian teachings and beliefs. Moslems become BETTER when deviating from Islam.
