I think it is unlikely that they have any at the moment but we know they are trying very hard to get them

I'm thinking that if they already had them here, they'd have used them by now. Still, better to err on the side of caution.

" I'm thinking that if they already had them here, they'd have used them by now."

This story is a non-starter as soon as they suppose that the mooslims bought some suitcase nukes from their fellow jihadis, the Chechens. How can anyone possibly think that if the Chechens got their hands on a suitcase nuke that they would be willing to sell it, and try to get it out of the country, instead of driving it to Moscow and detonating it. Even that is assuming that the 25+ year old nuke was functionable. We are talking Soviet era engineering. Not exactly the most top of the line equipment. Sorry, this doesn't pass the smell test. I heard the author on Glenn Beck. I was embarrassed for Glenn that he let such a nutcase on his show. But then again, his is a 'satire' format program.

"they would have used them by now."

Yep. this Paul Williams guy (I loved the short little mutant in "Phantom of the Paradise", didn't you?) is pitching a book- it's title has been changed to "Osama's Revenge" or something close to that. He was on Glenn Beck the other day, and really fumbled and dodged when confronted with the illogic of his proposition that a). the nukes have been here since before 9-11, and b). that Bin Laden would opt for high-jackings instead of just lighting the things off.

I think it's all B.S.
