For the record, I don't like spinners on our side any more than I like Hillary's spinners.
Thanks for the post.

Ok. I just didn't understand why the piece was excerpted. It's UPI story about a Times piece. Are we not allowed to post the whole of UPI articles? Or, do we have to wait until NewsMax re-writes them?...:-)

"war against fanatic islam"
"war on terror"
"a global struggle against violent extremism"
"a global struggle for peace"
"struggle against ignorance"
"struggle for diversity"
To: Hadean
I forgot the last part, about the 'struggle being political, economic, diplomatic'. In other words, we don't want to kill you, what will you take as a bribe? Muslim fiends are laughing their heads off. Someone said Karen Hughes was now in charge of a public relations push to rename/reorder the war, so we could 'live' with it. It looks as if this is it. Moderate Muslims are rather like a unicorn. In other words, imaginary.

Just DON'T call 'em "sand-[n-word]s"! It might make them feel racially inferior.

The problem isn't the content of this one article. The problem is that it is spread all over. Correct or not, a lot of people are hearing it. That's why it's here for your ridiculing pleasures.

LOL NewsMax can be interesting but to be honest, they always struck me as a "clearing house" like Prada, not a real news organization. I do like reading the articles posted here, but I take them with a very, very large grain of salt.

We aren't going to kill approximately 1.2 BILLION people. That would be the estimated number of Muslims out there. So we're going to let them kill 5.1 BILLION non muslims? Or submit?
Those folks are not that flexible, you know.

"a global struggle against violent extremism"
Just shorten it to "struggle against violent extremism" and you have SAVE. Very sellable. Much better that "War on Terror". Sounds like "What?"

That's why it's here for your ridiculing pleasures.LOL Gotcha. I don't think it's that big a deal, but it is interesting what the newspaper syndicates choose to put out there. At the very least it makes them look silly for feigning objectivity.

Laurie Dhue's graphic was still using "War on Terror", so sorry White House, if Laurie still uses it, it stays.

and I really don't see how a name change accomplishes anything. Spot on. (and it is appearing somewhat of late that there is probably a need for a gut-check time by some p*ssyfoots within the WH - Those that don't have the stomach or courage to stay in this fight 110% need to be purged by CIC).

Wait.
Run that by me again?

Dunno. I sense a shift from "war against violent extremism" to "war against MUSLIM extremism." I think this is a good step.
