Vaccines for pig disease sent to Sichuan (Xinhua) Updated: 2005-07-31 18:38
The first batch of vaccines for streptococcus swine type II will be delivered by air to Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan province from Guangzhou at 6:00 p.m. Sunday.
According to the Yongshun Biomedical Company in Guangdong province, about 160 boxes of such vaccines, enough for 350,000 pigs, will be delivered to Sichuan in the first batch.
Still larger quantities of such vaccines are being produced, the source said, adding that vaccines for 10 million pigs will be carried to the epidemic-affliced areas.
According to directions of the vaccines, pigs should be given two injections of such vaccines within 15 days, which will promisean immunization period of above 4 months.
It is the first massive production of the vaccines for streptococcus swine type II in China, and experts from the Ministry of Agriculture has monitored the whole process of production.
Experts from the Ministry of Agriculture demanded that the actual use of the vaccines be guided by the local expert group inlight of the concrete situation.
According to reports from the Ministry of Health, by 12:00 July30 Sichuan province had reported 174 cases of swine streptococosisII, including 19 confirmed cases,104 clinical diagnosed cases and51 suspected ones.
Of the above-mentioned cases, twelve have been discharged from hospital, 34 are dead, and 28 others are in critical condition.
Didn't they just say that they had vaccines for H5N1, and that they would take care of the Avian Flu in the same manner?

Since 2004, the government has classified most infected or death cases caused by the virus, supplemented with the information gathered in qinghai. For non-fatal infectious diseases, the chinese government targeted at controlling information and quarantine measures. For infectious diseases which are fatal to human, the focus of the government is whether the virus can be converted to a biological weapon or not. The military will first research on the controllability of the virus.
In some occasions, the virus may even be released to the public in order to test the effectiveness of the vaccines and preventive measures.
So far, the bird-flu virus strains that are fatal to human is classified into 7 different categories. The H5N1 is the original version while others are mutated from the original H5N1.
The above is a human translation from the boxun report on strains isolated in China. The comment on deliberate release on human subjects is of considerable concern.
This document has not been independently verified, but does raise disturbing issues, especially since H5N1 is very hard to control and rapidly changes via reassortment and recombination.
The details in these documents are cause for concern.
Now that we've nailed the ChiComs, what does OUR government know, and what are they going to do about it?
Maybe they are waiting to see if the Chi-coms came up with the antidote. If we don't have one, then we can steal their R&D.

It most definetly does. When our government has to start stepping over our dead bodies, maybe then they'll do something. But, I'm not going to be holding my breath waiting for that to happen.
I don't understand how they can turn a blind eye to the Chi-coms playing with bio-weapons.
