Whatever happened to Richard Mellon Scaife? He used to be the left's favorite wealthy conservative bugaboo -- they saw him as the evil puppetmaster behind every shadow of any story or event which reflected poorly on Bill Clinton.I guess now they have a new bogeyman to freak out about.
Your guesses are probably better than mine. Here's what I'd say, though:
Scaife's 73 years old (or so) and controls a fortune of 'only' about $1 billion dollars. Kovner's 60 and is the $11 billion man. Plus Kovner seems to have had more success than Scaife in backing winners, at least lately. But, clearly, Scaife is more widely known as a conservative danger (ahem) than Kovner. But if the MSM keep trying, that might change.
