Are we ready to leave that war-ravaged land without any assurance a free, democratic, pro-Western Iraq will survive?

When you start with a misconception, your conclussions can not be correct.

The purpose of the invasion of Iraw was not to bring a pro-western democracy into the world (that would be a nice side benefit, but not the purpose.)

The purpose was to provide a lesson to the other leaders in the area. You allow terrorist to work out of your country to plan and execute attacks against the United States, this is the response you can expect.

Only time if the message was received.

...but what benefit should we get from attacking France?

Didn't you get the memo? It's our turn to accept their surrender.

NO!

It's now axiomatic that, in any war, the loser get France. I don't want us to be a loser.

I think there are several area that have been safe harbors for terrorists that need to be slammed to squeeze the vermin out.

I have heard recently from people just back from Iran that radical Islam is BIG there right now.
We will be forced into a form of war there for sure.

N. Korea should be allowed to starve itself to almost death so it's people eat their fearless crazy leader. Why we keep giving them food to go on is beyond me.

Syria has literally been a base of operation, along with parts of Pakistan for terrorists and will need attention.

France was being funny, but they and Germany are being taken over by the Muslim culture which is why they haven't been in a rush to act for most of the war against terror.

This will end up IMO a world war move openly over the next decade between radical Islam (which is 70% IMO of all Islam) and the Western world.

France is an enabler of terror IMO.

While we had sanctions, France had back door deals with Saddam to handle the oil fields, repairs and sales of all oil (though illegal) in exchange for 75% of the profit.

They are a pathetic country that was great once hundreds of years ago.
Now we are lucky to even get them to bathe once a week or for the women to shave their mustaches.
