Islamic leaders in Britain are urging their flocks to turn away from "the harbingers of hate" in the wake of a survey showing that 100,000 members of the nation's Muslim community support the London train bombers.
"The word 'Islam' means peace," insisted Rafiq Hayat, national president of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association U.K. "But we have to live by it in order to grow," he warned, in quotes picked up by the Washington Times.

A YouGov survey commissioned by the London Telegraph last week, however, shows that Hayat and other pro-Western Muslim leaders are facing an uphill battle. Twenty-four percent of 500 Muslims responding said they sympathize with the suicide bombers. More troubling still, 6 percent said the attacks were necessary.
And 1 percent said they'd be willing to commit actual violence in the name of jihad.
YouGov analyst Anthony King told the Times that the 6 percent who insist that the bombings were necessary "may seem a small proportion, but in absolute numbers, it amounts to about 100,000 individuals who, if not prepared to carry out terrorist acts, are ready to support those who do."
The 1 percent who professed a willingness to actually commit violent acts translates into 16,000 Muslims, King said.
I thought it meant "slaughtering the innocents"...
sounds to me like there are 100,000 people who need to be deported in Britian.
... and the definition of peace in Islam is when everyone has either been converted or exterminated.

It actually means "submission" which leads to it being a cult of death.
Islam means literally, "I Submit" - i.e. it stands for submission. Only when the world is Islam will there be peace from Islam. They are still lying and twisting words for sympathy.
The terrorists are in a better position to attack Britain than either Napoleon or Hitler were.

The actual number is probably ten times that. Most of them were probably telling the pollsters what they thought they wanted to hear.
My sympathy goes out to those who have been sucked into Islam by its false promises and lies.
We should consider doing the same thing here - deport them and don't allow them back in.
They hate the West. Why are they here ?
Based upon the ones I have met at work, they moved here because life is easier, most of the men are college educated and there is no work for them in their home country. Problem is they get here, move the family here and find that nothing is like back home. Everything from language, basics like food and housing is different Here, they are a minority and that is very uncomfortable. In their culture, the most agressive usually get what they want and they try that here it is viewed as hostility. They try to keep their culture and language and do not try to assimilate. Being separate and apart from the society in which you live causes alientation and anger.
After 9/11 I know my heart skips a beat when I see a large number of them at a mall or shopping center.
Bullshit - it means "SUBMISSION"
The Muslim concept of "peace" is how the world will be when we have ALL submitted to Allah, or been destroyed in fires of Hell.

Britian was unbelievably foolish to bring the enemy right on to their own soil and give them welfare while they build bombs to kill their people.
