That's one pathetic column for the WaPost to run. Letters to the Editor are better written than Sebastien's spiel, and free local rags typically have more respect for the Office of the President.
...That his column further confuses cause and effect, convolutes logic, and is filled with direct ad hominems just goes to show how far the press has fallen from its lost era of professionalism.

Hey! I thought we weren't allowed to post articles from The Onion. This one is hilarious!

A nasty little piece of work who plays on Barney Frank's team. Would believe very little he says. Not fit to polish Bush's shoes.

I remember reading this one somewhere:

(or something like that.)

Luck is Laboring Under Correct Knowledge. President Bush understands the effect of tax cuts and works hard so that we can have more of them. Congresss badly needs to repeal the estate tax permanently and continue to reduce marginal income tax rates.

I remember it well: Back in the mid-80's liberal columnist after liberal columnist writing about how "lucky" Reagan was. In fact, some of them could pull out one of their old columns and rereun it with "Bush" inserted instead of "Reagan". It's too funny...

Speaking of luck, Mr Mallaby is very lucky he lives in an era that simple leftist dogma and critical theory will be enough to get you through Oxford and land a job as journalist as long as you don't ever forget the whose pulling the strings and what side of the Revolution they are on. The left in this country and worldwide are disgusting putrid maggots that have no respect for individual freedoms and political liberty. May they eat their own entrails.

Yep...Conservative success = luck; Liberal success...oh, wait, that's an oxymoron.
To: Tumbleweed_Connection
Bush is just another amiable dunce, giving the liberals conniptions. At least they admit that the economy is performing. (Even without terrorism, the economy was in for an adjustment after the Clinton bubble.)

***To what do they attribute Bubba's "success"***
Why, why....he signed the Welfare Reform bill! (After he vetoed it several times, and then was forced to sign it.) And he's STILL taking credit for it.

2-the post-Sept. 11 economic trough ended in time for Bush's reelection. Bush Senior lost his 1992 race because the economy rebounded too late to save him. ...12years later Junior celebrated robust growth for several months before his reelection vote. The MSM never admitted to this before the election. It was a constant drumb beat of a sluggish economy. Do these people think we have forgetten?
