I like the 1984 Reagan commercials "A Bear in The Wooods" and "Morning in America". What are your favorites?

I just watched Mondale's "No weapons in space" from 1984. I was too young to vote against him then. Can I vote against him now?

And the Mondale/Ferraro "Ticket" commercial: while Reagan tries to slash medicare, they fight for seniors; While he forces 4 million people out of work, they fight for workers; and on tax breaks [WALTER MONDALE:] I refuse to make your family pay more so that millionaires can pay less. That sounds like it could have come out of the Kerry campaign. Do the Dems have any new ideas?

Mondale's "Rollercoaster" commercial: If you're thinking of voting for Ronald Reagan in 1984. . .Think of what will happen in 1985. Hey, thanks for warning me. 1985 (and 6 and 7 and 8...) were pretty good.

Mondale's "Failure 3" ad: Yikes, showing the flag draped caskets of the Marines killed by Arab terrorists in Beruit. And the Dems wonder why President Bush didn't want the caskets of those killed in Iraq filmed.

Thanks for posting this link!

I agree that "The Bear In The Woods" is one of the all-time classics. It's straight, simple common sense that leftists can't seem to grasp. or, if leftists do grasp it, then they don't care (or worse, they cheer for the other side).

"This time, vote like your whole world depended on it."

That site is very very cool.

Thanks- an excellent website.

It's amazing how some of the Democrat and Republican issues have changed.

LBJ and Kennedy campaigned on lower taxes. And Goldwater ads kept talking about getting out of Vietnam.

The Democratic spot from 1952 about the "romance" between GOP presidential nominee Dwight Eisenhower and Senator Robert A. Taft (R-Ohio) is just about the worst--and funniest--political ad I have ever seen. The ditty with which it concludes warms my heart:

Reuben, Reuben, I've been thinking
'Bout the general and his mob.
If you're voting for the general,
You really are electing Bob.
Let's vote for Adlai and John.

As a Taft supporter, I'm happy to learn that in electing the general, we really elceted Bob.
