An old Indian reservation trick.

If I`m wrong about this please someone correct me but I`m pretty sure that if a computerized slot machine pays off because of a computer glich the casino refuses to pay and is not made to by the gaming authority.
I think I saw that on TV at some time.
I DO NOT buy a $1 scratch off EVERY DAY and I win over $300 EVERY YEAR from the Texas lottery.....name me one regular 'player' that comes out so well!!!!
In this case, I would support one. Florida made a $230,000 mistake. That's not the woman's fault. They should pay, or their lottery is worth nothing.
This retard never had the money, so it couldn't be taken away. That's what she gets for playing the lotto and by implication trusting the state not to screw her.
florida is just so unbelievably arrogant - -that's all I can say -- that's what 20+ years there has taught me: it's a defacto dictatorship.
Almost right. It's a tax on the stupid.
Florida the land of evil BUMP
It would be pretty difficult for them to pry the money from my hands after it dumped out of the slot machine into my bucket. That's complete and utter crap, though I'm not disputing your claim.
"The large print giveth, and the small print taketh away."
Maybe He didn't care for you holding up traffic after you scratched your ticket. OTOH, most scratchoff tickets I've bought have the number spelled out below the numeral, so that there is no confusion.
""the very nature of any mechanical printing process can never guarantee 100% accuracy."
So, get the checkbook bucko.
yep, I was pretty stupid when I won 100K in the PA lottery. Hope I'm as stupid again...

They have that covered. You don`t get money, you get chips or some other form of credit that must be cashed in at the window.
I wonder about if the situation were reversed, however.
Suppose she needed a 22 to win, and because of the misprint thought it was a loser 2 and thus discarded a winning ticket? Are there ways for players to independently verify their ticket serial numbers?
I highly doubt that.
Ever buy a lotto ticket, or whatever they call it in your state? For six simple numbers on a ticket I am looking at in front of me (6 numbers between 1 and 53), they also have: Code number upper left 015632 00379200 Code number upper right 6386-005347894-085340 Additionally, at the bottom, there is a very big bar code.
They have cross checks. Yes, it is possible for any printer to screw up. Has your laser printer or ink-jet printer ever screwed up? Has printer spit out million of sheets of parer like these printers do?
You have a fast trigger there with your lawsuit crap. My bet is a suit does not fly.
They came up with the wrong story. Misprint doesn't work. If it were doctored, well that would be different.
It's a suburb of Orlando. Typical Florida government response that show how incompetent it is.
