I've read/heard some interesting things about Posner.
He was the owner or manager of the casino at the HI in Aruba. Posner left Aruba shortly after Natalee disappeared and hasn't been heard from or located since.
Posner is a US citizen from Chigaco.
Posner is involved with the porn business and online gambling with operations worldwide including South and Central America.

Lorenzo Van Rijn is thought to be a partner with Posner in the porn business. Lorenzo has a reputation of being a dangerous person. It is said he lives in the biggest home on Aruba and is very wealthy. His father owned the VW dealership on Aruba and committed suicide a couple of years ago.

Some of this I've read online with links to verify some of it. Some is from TV news that I've watched. And some of it is unverified rumor. I don't know that any of this really matters in Natalee's case, but here it is for your consideration.

I e-mailed someone I know who lives on Aruba who worked in management at the Excelsior. She says Posner is very tight with credit and she doesn't believe JVDS has a line of credit there as Beth said. His father could have; no reason why he couldn't qualify if he has good credit or it could be a favor for a favor as you suggest. Don't know if PVDS could give permission for his son to tap it or not.

I have been following the N.Y. TB racing scandal involving race fixing. It has not gone to court yet so there have not been any verdicts, but there are plenty of people from several states who either will be tried or are cutting deals to testify before it does. The betting on the fixed races occurred off-track, and I see that besides the initial operations that lost their right to host wagering on N.Y. racing, 6 more operations had their rights revoked 1/25/05. The Excelsior Casino, Aruba, is one of them.

I was oveer at SM and Aruba girl and Native Lingo, both reliable from what I have seen, said the dog killing thing happened when Joran was 12 or 13. Seems old to be an accidental thing {like a kid sitting on a gerbil or something]

Killing the family dog strikes me as something that would alarm people.

I read that, too. Native Lingo also claimed a very reliable source told him Joran had been seeing a juvenile psychiatrist. When NL asked his source if this was because of the dog killing and fighting with sibs, the source said that was the least of Joran's problems. NL says Anita had also had counseling.
