I've been tabulating the different ways in which reporters pronounce Joran vander Sloot's first name. The most popular pronunciation seems to be "urine." Beth Twitty said on Fox last night that the 17 year old "Urine" had an open-ended line of credit at the casino where the legal gambling age is 18.

I head that amazing bit of information. Are the Aruban "Authorities" interviewing the casino management? Probably not. It appears the whole island is in the grips of an international mafia cartel and the peons who live there are too scared to rock the boat. The rest are on the take.

That said, how does Nat's disappearance fit into this?

With all the $$$$ it takes to gamble regularly, Natalee's death looks like the tip of a vader Sloot Uruban mafia drug running family business. This could explain the way the police?? have handled thing as they should know who's who and perhaps even have some involvement.
It could also explain the reluctance of ordinary citizens to come forward with information, fearing reprisals. It could also explain the arrogance of Joran, his mother's total oblivion to his behavior and the father's proactive stance and the "need" for his legal background. Advice on case; get ahold of financial records and trace the $$$$$.
