I use tofu in lasagne. And like you, I LOVE it in hot and sour soup!

Also add SoyRizo; Can't tell the difference between it and chorizo, and you don't have to worry about munching on piggy thyroid glands. Blech.
And tofu fried up in cornstarch and a little dark olive oil is tasty, too.

We used to patronize a Szechuan restaurant that made the best hot and sour soup I've ever eaten. Tiny black peppers, tofu, mushrooms, some veggies, no eggs in it, just the soup--I'd eat that every day if I could still get it like they made it.
Very very spicy, had to be eaten fresh and hot...no good re-heated. Wish I could make it at home...

Two brands of tofu hotdogs - "Smart Dogs" or "Tofu Pups" - can be enjoyably eaten if you add enough stuff on/in the bun: salsa, chili, shredded cheese...
