Do their figures include the bombings themselves? Somehow, I doubt it.

I wonder if the terror bombings made the count. Or does Islamic hatred not figure into the figures?

Or does Islamic hatred not figure into the figures? Wonder when there will be an article about muslims hatred and killing of Jews and Christians. Oops, what am I thinking ... it don't count, that's acceptable.

I think there's some confusion over whether "Religious Hatred" is up, or if it's just hatred of Flipped-Out-Islamic-Nut-Bastards-Who-Want-Everyone-Dead-Because-Their-Own-Sh!tty-Lives-Suck that's skyrocketing.

I had the same thought as the rest of you. Only offenses against Islam appear to qualify as intolerant.

Boo Hoo, when Muslim bodies start piling up then someone can keep score.
To: traumer
And what the hell did they expect was going to happen? I read where there were a total of 16 bombs that either exploded or that were found. Just four bombs exploded and 52 people died and hundreds more injured, think of the carnage if all of them had exploded.
If there were about a dozen cell members, I wonder how many were in the support groups?

Yep, last month 59 people died as a result of religious hate crimes. Perpetrated by Muslims.
To: traumer
The attacks included verbal and physical assaults and damage to property including mosques. The bottom line is:
Muslims: 52 kills
Non-Muslims: Zero kills.

The attacks included verbal...
If verbal "attacks" are considered "faith hate crimes", I wonder how many "faith hate crimes" against Christians and non-Muslims that your average Imam perpetrates per day?
Or your average liberal, for that matter...

If we start caling the terrorists by the name "fundamental religious extremist" or creationists we can probably get the left on board for this War against Fundamentalism, and maybe they'd even allow religious profiling. If they can profile Catholics in determining SCOTUS nominees, we should be able to get them on board.
If only the terrorists were radical Catholics, the war would be so much easier.

There is a big difference between anything verbal and a physical assault or property damage. They should break these stats out. I suspect the majority of these were people calling someone a name or telling them to go back home. Not very nice, but sometimes an outlet to anger.

In the pre-9/11 world, Bodansky said, jihadists could count on 250,000 individuals trained and willing to die, and 2.5 million5 million people willing to help them in one way or another.
He cited intelligence estimates from this summer that suggest that as many as 500,000-750,000 people are willing and trained to die, 10 million are willing to actively support them, short of killing, while another 50 million are willing to support such a movement financially.
