March 2004:
Inside Air America's Troubles: Optimism and Shaky Finances

On March 30, the night before Air America went on the air, the liberal radio network threw itself a $70,000 party at Manhattan's hip Maritime Hotel. More than 1,000 guests, including Yoko Ono and Tim Robbins, drank red, white and blue vodka cocktails as they toasted the network's bid to challenge the dominance of conservative talk radio.

"Brain cancer seemed to be his answer to everything." Franken complained.Speaking of brains, Al... do your remember that horribly unfunny SNL "Franken & Davis" bit that where you pretended to be brain damaged? Your compassion level for people must have really improved for you to have cut Cohen so much slack.

This is AA's line for listeners to call in, but it just rings and rings. Apparently they are just interviewing sympathetic guests and not taking any calls.

Why does the Boys & Girls Club have $875K to loan out?
And since when are they a liberal front? Camp Air America? That is disturbing on so many levels!

"Cohen would say, "You know, I have brain cancer."
"Brain cancer seemed to be his answer to everything." Franken complained."
I love compassionate liberals.

Yes, something about this doesn't pass the smell test. Most of these youth organizations are strapped for cash, and this group has $875K lying around?

I'm shocked I tell you! Shocked!
In the spirit of cooperation I have sent an email to Air America recommending that they redirect their solicitation efforts from children's welfare groups to Alzheimer's patients at nursing homes.
Alzheimer's patients are unlikely to remember any of the leftist dribble they hear on AA and they won't ask for payback! -- ergo, the perfect sponsors for those rip-off artists at Air America.

The MSM doesn't have time to obsess about this.
They are working on things like "Fleecing of America" episodes against defense contractors.
