Prayers needed for close family friend. J. Baker is in the 3rd Battalion, 25th Marines. He's from Cleveland, Ohio. Heard from him yesterday and 6 from his troop died. Haven't heard from him today! Pray for all of their safety & peace within their families.

There is always a price to be paid to wear the uniform of a United States Marine and that price is different for each Marine. These men paid full measure. But then as the man says: "Freedom isn't Free"
That said, I believe that God maintains a special place for courageous men who die for Freedom, who maintain their honor, and do their duty.

Dear Heavenly Father,
We pray with our hearts full of grief at the loss of these fine Marines and journalist Steven Vincent and ask earnestly and desperately for Thy help to bind Satan in Western Iraq and Basra.
Confuse and confound the minions of Satan in these lands and in Afghanistan. We beg for Thy intercession to protect those Marines fighting for true freedom on this soil poisoned by the vile acts of evil men through many years. Let Iraqis who know or want to know the Lord be called to rally to assist the Marines ward off this assault from within and without.
Embrace Iraq and protect it from enemies within who would undo the good that has been done for Thy glory by valiant men now called to Thy presence.
In Jesus' precious name we pray.
That is an understatement. Eighty in the last year makes me feel like a posting glutton.
I'm still sick over the loss of these Americans and I'm praying for J. Baker.

I'm sitting at Cleveland State University as we speak, lifting up prayers for your friend and all others who are fighting alonside of him. We have lost good men in this state during this war, one right from my church who died two months ago. May the Lord look after these men and His will be fulfilled in their actions.
Prayers of our fallen Marine heroes and their families are on the way.
