NY TIMES INVESTIGATES ADOPTION RECORDS OF SUPREME COURT NOMINEE'S CHILDREN

**Exclusive**

The DRUDGE REPORT has uncovered a plot in the NEW YORK TIMES' newsroom to look into the adoption of the children of Supreme Court Nominee John G. Roberts.

The TIMES has investigative reporter Glen Justice hot on the case to investigate adoption records of Judge Roberts’ two young children, Josie age 5 and Jack age 4, a top source reveals.

Judge Roberts and his wife Jane adopted the children when they each were infants.

Both children were adopted from Latin America.

A TIMES insider claims the look into the adoptions are part of the paper's "standard background check."

Roberts’ young son Jack delighted millions of Americans during his father’s Supreme Court nomination announcement ceremony when he wouldn’t stop dancing while the President and his father spoke to a national television audience.

Previously the WASHINGTON POST Style section had published a story criticizing the outfits Josie’s and Jack’s mother had them wear at the announcement ceremony.

One top Washington official with knowledge of the NEW YORK TIMES’ plans declared: “Trying to pry into the lives of the Roberts’ family like this is despicable. Children’s lives should be off limits. The TIMES is putting politics over fundamental decency.”

One top Republican official when told of the situation was incredulous. “This can’t possibly be true?”

My guess - and others - is that ultimately this is going to be about playing the race card, about Roberts' insisting on white children and shunning poor babies-of-color.

Wrong. The obvious question is, with white children being such somewhat of a rarity and generally born to the upper crust of Latin American society, how did the Robert's get his hands on two?

The most obvious answer is of course, that they they're not originally from Latin America and the Latin American country was merely a conduit from which to easily adopt children from another possibly European country. I promise you that's the angle they are looking for.

I agree with you 100% and was making the same point you are. Cyborg took exception (see post 185)

I think Drudge has been used on this one..not that he cares..Look..assume the Times started this investigation..some in the paper are disgusted with it...and may have tried to have it stopped, even successfuly had it spiked..but by having this leak now, there's NO way the paper can stop it..they have to go forward..otherwise they;d have to explain what happened..

Correct... I'm aware of South America having blondes/redheads as my own family has Spanish blood and can be traced all over it. They're lumping Latin America with South America. I've met lighter South Americans as well: some from my own family (from Spain - through Portugal and Brazil). But nearly all of the Latin Americans I've met (Mexico, El Salvador and Guatemala) are dark. There are always the exceptions and I was curious to find out which Latin American country his children were from.

I'm sure they'll tell us. You're right: They will stop at nothing.

If anything, the NYT could buy off poor folks in Latin America to claim wrongdoing/extortion/pressure in allowing the children to be adopted.

No need to go to that expense - they'll just make them up.

They may play that angle too, but see my post #191 for a verbatim quote from a lib who's playing the race card on this.

As we would expect, the DU'ers think that this is a grand idea. In fact, they're really enjoying the fact that we're outraged by this.

One classic comment:

*snip*

"They should investigate. It could shed light on how the nominee views a number of things. Race and religion among them."

And the Lefties have the gall to call Republicans "meanspirited". These guys give new meaning to the word. They're vicious. Nothing is sacred to them.

But, but, but..... I thought lefties wanted children of "color" to be adopted ONLY by families of "color" so that they wouldn't be confused about their "culture". Talk about racism.

That was a huge issue in these parts a while back.

I worked with a lady whose daughter and son-in-law adopted 2 kids from Columbia. The girl has black hair but the mom is Italian so she really blends into the family. The boy is very dark tho, like a native. They were ecstatic just to be able to be parents.

I have a friend who grew up on Purto Ricco and her husband is from Peru .. 2 of their kids were born with black hair and 2 of their kids were born with blonde hair that eventually turned brown

Here's is another story ... I have a friend that had real blonde hair (like Jack Roberts) when he was little .. his hair is now jet black

The reason for me mentioning these things is because .. it is very possible for the Roberts kids hair will eventually turn dark as they get older

Well, the lefties were calling for an investigation of adopted son Jack (age 4) to determine if he is gay.

Well, he danced like he is...and that outfit.....
