He just came to the back fence and wanted someone to let him in.
He is limping a little. Someone may have had him in their yard. He may have had to work a little to get out. It is almost impossible to keep him in. I'm going to get an electric fence. I hate to do it but he may not be able to come home next time.
He looks well fed. He gladly accepted a special treat but did not appear hungry. Millie was happy to see him.
When I looked out and saw him, I woke the whole house. Marissa is sooo happy that her puppy came home.

This picture is a year old ..... I will get a current picture to post.
I think he weighs between 85 and 100 lbs now. He has been gone since last Thursday.
We checked with the SPCA and drove all the county roads here.
We even checked the fields to see if he was injured and couldn't get home.
He probably went visiting and someone decided to keep him.

We had given up on him. While in Ohio, the first thing I said when I called home every night was ... "Has LouieMax come home yet?"
It was awful wondering if he was being well cared for.

It must have been awful wondering. I think of, if my dog disappeared, just how upsetting it would be. The kids must have been devastated. How fantastic he found his way back to his loving family. What a surprise for you. The kids must have been thrilled!
