SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - The Alliance Defense Fund will provide training on America's federal and state judicial systems for high school age students from all across the U.S. as part of the TeenPact Judicial Program (West), co-sponsored by the Georgia-based TeenPact Leadership School.

The program, which emphasizes the importance of worldview training as part of proper legal instruction, will be held at ADF's headquarters in Scottsdale Aug. 8-14.

"Understanding America's state and federal judicial systems as well as one's own worldview is vital for the next generation of Americans interested in law and government," said ADF Senior Vice President of Strategic Training Jeffery Ventrella. "ADF is proud to be partnering with TeenPact to equip these Christian students for the real world of law. This training will pay them tremendous dividends in both their career pursuits and everyday lives as responsible American citizens."

TeenPact describes itself as a "comprehensive leadership experience that challenges students to grow both personally and spiritually. During TeenPact, students will enjoy meeting and interacting with other Christian young people and leaders from across the country. They will come away from TeenPact with a realization of their spiritual capacity as young people and a desire to change America for Christ."

ADF and ADF-allied attorneys will lead classes on a variety of subjects ranging from the Christian foundations of law to same-sex "marriage" issues. The training will also include a moot court tournament-a "hands on" training exercise that allows students to brief and argue a lawsuit at the appellate level.

"This type of training not only benefits these particular students in their own pursuits and understanding. It benefits all of us in that these students will become the next generation of American lawyers, judges, leaders, and decision makers," Ventrella explained. "ADF understands the wisdom and importance of thinking ahead."

Additional information on the TeenPact Judicial Program and its goals can be found on the Web at www.tpjudicial.org.

ADF is America's largest legal alliance defending religious liberty through strategy, training, funding, and litigation.

This isn't the other side of the same coin as clerics, is it?

My kids participated in a TeenPact workshop on government in Georgia about a year and a half ago...it was certainly from a religious, Christian perspective..but I found it informative, not at all "preachy" and a worthwhile event.

Excellent program. We have to take the initiative in educating our kids in the truth about America's founding principles and their origins. The gubmint fool system certainly won't.

I think they deal with the concept of how a Christian worldview can inform public policy and the law, as well as dealing with misconceptions about the separation of church and state in America. The ADF is a great outfit looking out for our first freedoms: religious exercise and expression.
