The tracks have been there since 1906, yet they will blame the train. There are a lot of accidents in this area, because of private crossing with no crossing arms....The migrant farm workers tend not to Stop Look and Listen, and every once in a while they get creamed.

Crossings are the responsibility of the cities or private property owners (for liability reasons), so they are reluctant to put them in. This crossing has a stop sign, and big signs in English and Spanish to stop and look for trains.

I can't believe there isn't a technical solution. How's about arresting hooks, like on aircraft carriers? That would stop a train quickly.
