OH...My...God!
These people worship at the altar of "death with dignity" but their idea of dignity is pretty peculiar, to me.
What is it about Florida? I view California as sane compared to them.
Note that this is a Florida STATE organization!
"The Florida State Guardianship Association bestowed its Guardian of the Year Award on Schiavo...
"Association members, most of whom are appointed by judges to represent people who have been declared incapacitated... "
This POS does NOTHING "modestly," IMO.
No, it's not an official state of florida organization. It's an ASSOCIATION of GUARDIANS.
None of which takes away from the surreal unbelievableness of their actions.
Fulsome praise for helping to turn nursing homes into abatoirs.
I hope no one is in the middle of lunch reading this.
Looks like it's going to be a long uphill battle on this front. I cannot believe the amazing gall of this "award".
Now they are rewarding murderers.
No kidding. I really love the part about "his wife, Theresa". Talk about asking to be thrown straight into hell...
Thanks for the correction. The way they phrased it "Florida State Assoc. of Guardians", as in "Florida State Legislature", made me think that they are some state organization, especially since it also said that judges appoint them.
But at the very least they are "professional" guardians, private people, who are appointed guardians to a relative don't go join an organization.
Some "guardians", who can't wait to kill you, if you can't defend yourself, which is when you get a guardian appointed for you.
Was Florida Governor George W. Greer there to cheer his boy on?
Creepy... ghoulish ... any other words?? This scumbag is a hero to some.
He's hellbound, the sooner the better.
What? He still hasn't married the hussy who he made his children with?
Thanks you! Ping! grrrrrrrrrrr..............BS!
Has anyone read Mark Furman's book? Is is worth reading?
Honoring his wife's wishes??? There was NEVER any CLEAR and CONVINCING evidence those were Terri's wishes and indeed there was evidence to the contrary. This was one of the MAJOR problems with Terri's case.
Of course to those pushing the Euthanasia Agenda, FACTS don't matter.
This is beyond OUTRAGEOUS, its BIZARRE.
ANYONE, and I do mean ANYONE, who wasn't absolutely APPALLED by what MICHAEL SCHIAVO and the STATE did to Terri, is either evil, or has no ability to discern.
Has anyone read Mark Furman's book? Is is worth reading?

I've read and amazingly my husband read it. He doesn't read that type of thing much at all. He was shocked. He had heard me talk about it, but learned a lot he didn't know from the book.
Yes, it's worth reading. It doesn't really come to any conclusions. He just puts out scenrios based on all the digging he did. Probably 50% of it I already knew, but I did a lot of research on the subject. I learned more about the medical aspects, ways to asphixiate (sp?), etc. Overall, I would say it was well worth it. I believe people who didn't know much about the case will learn what MS was really like.
