North Carolina man armed for squirrel:-
RALEIGH, N.C. | August 06, 2005 4:11:38 AM IST
Squirrel-hunter Jason Williams is tired of his newer Raleigh, N.C., neighbors calling police every time he bags some of the rodents in his backyard.
The 41-year-old forestry consultant keeps a .22-rifle, equipped with a scope, in his kitchen and usually kills squirrels when they climb into his pear or fig tree. Williams has been hunting the varmints for years, long before new townhouses began sprouting in the wooded neighborhood annexed by Raleigh in the 1980s.
Development may have changed a former cow pasture into the Crabtree Valley Mall, but it has been legal to hunt squirrels, rats and pigeons in Brookhaven since at least 1959, the Raleigh (N.C.) News Observer reported.
A 90-day special permit is all that's required and Williams has his taped to his front door.
He said the first time someone reported gunfire a police SWAT team showed up at his home.

I just shoot them with a pellet gun - I think it's safer than firing a .22 in a residential area.

And if he misses and a stray bullet hits a kid exploring the neighborhood, he will set gun rights back 100 years. If that happens, he'll end up on death row, where gun rights will be the least of his worries.

In regards to the first picture,
I can clearly see you're nuts.

Before everyone gets in a tizzy, this is the second time the article was posted and the guy uses shotshells in the .22.
