Ya, but unfortunately the question posed is not well phrased and the answers are less than satisfying and scientific garbage. If I were a scientist, I'd be ashamed to sign my name to the answers quoted above.
The science is 'well settled', at least one unique human life is created when the sperm fertilizes the egg. Anybody claiming differently is avoiding the issue.
