well, Err Amerika was similarly stillborn, and THAT anencephalic motard-fest is still lurching along in search of a grave

What amazes me is even the libs don't like it! The comments I've seen over at DU about Al Fraken quite frankly, are disturbing.

It will be gone soon enough unless Soros has an endless supply of funds to keep squandering.

You have piqued my curiousity with that one; I had assumed Franken was the guy all the DU women wanted to love and all the DU men wanted to be like (or vice-versa, being DU and all).

I think I either saw those comment on a PJ Comix thread or one of the others...I don't even go over to DU to check out there idiocy.

Let me see if I can find the posts.

Amazed is right. Some of them actually sounded as if they liked Franken less than I do... which I used to think would be difficult, if not impossible.

No. I thought Air America would be off the by the it's first Summer Solstice, over a year ago. But that was based
on the evening power/configuration license of it's local affiliate.

OTOH, the lack of power at night might have helped the situation by not letting people know exactly how bad they are.

My wife watches the dumbest television imaginable, she loves sit coms and other shows that are literally too annoying for me to even listen to while I read. I got her a new teevee and satellite receiver so she can watch her nonsense up stairs.

Last night I put on current teevee for a few moments to see what she thought... She lasted five minutes, and then went back to to "golden girls".

The channel is precious, like a two headed cow, it is a freak of nature. It interests me with a perverted type of fascination as I wonder how long it will live.

At this moment they are filming a graffiti artist, demonstrating the "power" of the individual to deface other peoples property. This nitwit has ropes and ladders, and should be prosecuted based on this video alone.

Any bets on how long before it folds?

Warning to the directors of Non-profits: Do not, repeat NOT approve "loans" to Current TV unless you want to spend a lot of time before IRS auditors and answering grand jury subpoenas.

Now why would anyone be surprised that a television venture chaired by the original oak would be stiff, condescending, and peppered with lame patter?

Depends if they can acquire sweetheart loans from any childrens or retiree clubs.
It will be gone soon enough unless Soros has an endless supply of funds to keep squandering.
Actually it might be more fruitful to investigate Current TV funding sources for the possibility that they are illegal campaign contributions.

Not, mind, that I think that law is constitutional - but they are the clowns that wanted that law on the books in the first place. Udoubtedly they figured that they could get away with violating it - and that they would be able to crucify any conservative who did likewise. But are Current TV or Air America any better - are they as good - as Newt Gingrich's GoPac?

That depends on how much money Algore's pals can skim from tax-funded programs for sick children and senile senior citizens.

Leftwing fatcats provided the startup cash. The question is, How much paid advertizing is there? If there is no ad revenue and no audience, Soros and his pals will throw their money elsewhere.

-"...like a real pimp would do to his own employees?"-

Pimps don't have employees - when you think you have to be politically correct when speaking of pimps and ho's, that should tell you something.

This is good - it's black hole of stupidity devouring lib funds that might do some real damage elsewhere. Rather like Air America.
