Same thing I thought of. This will be as effective as ACT and Air America all rolled into one!

"After 6 months, our liberal think tank has determined how to end war and poverty forever. IMPEACH BUSH!!!!"

OMG! Rove is like a TOTAL GENIUS! This is even more wizard than that ACT scam! This is his best idea since Air America! Matched only by sending that bloviating that a$$hole to Niger and making him think it was his wife's idea!

Let's take a close look at this! Liberals with money? Liberals spend other peoples' money not their own. The liberals who actually have money are liberals only because of some guilt and them seldom means "guilty enough to spend their own money."

I don't believe you'll find 80 liberals willing to pledge $200K eaxh for five years. Maybe, union leaders, spending some one else's money; maybe, foundaton/501(c)(3) heads spending tax free foundation/501(c)(3) money; or, maybe, left wing PACs. But, writing their own checks against their own accounts, I just don't see 80 folks. They'll get a lot of IOUs, letters of committment and vague promises, but money, new money, I don't see it.

I would argue that common sense would dictate a 1% chance of dishonesty to be "beyond a reasonable doubt".

Thanks to this nit-wit that sick perv is free to victimize more children.

Nice going lady!

I've always been amused how the least democratic countries name themselves. Peoples' Republic of China...... German Democratic Republic(East Germany)... Democratic People's Republic of Korea (North Korea)... Republic of Cuba. Anytime left-wingers desecrate words like freedom and democratic it turns my stomach!!

William F. Buckley (IIRC) wrote a piece once about how Communists choose country names that bear absolutely NO resemblance to reality. They are NOT accountable to the People. They aren't close to being Democratic. They aren't republics. The 'rats don't need Lackoff (rhymes with). They just need Lenin and his new anti-American "friends."

It's a mystery why such obviousely successful Capitalists would contribute so much to fund the agenda of the rabid anti-capitalists.

"The Democracy Alliance will act as a financial clearing house. Its staff and board of directors will develop a list of established and proposed groups they think will develop and promote ideas on the left. "

Does it cost $80 Million to do a Google search now?

What the media should point out, if there were any objectivity about this, is that left-liberals already have a couple of thousand such "think tanks" dedicated to what they call their 'progressive' agenda for the left.... they're called 'universities' and 'colleges' and there are a few thousand of them, nearly all with a strongly left-liberal bent, and nearly all with numerous departments of faculty members devoted to propogating so-called 'progressive' ideas to the next generation.

No, what the left lacks is not funding or "think tank" institutions devoted to leftist propaganda, it's sound ideas and rational arguments based upon facts and good evidence. Let them pour their millions down these new drainholes -- it won't do them any more good than did "Americans Coming Together" which burned through $200 million in just a couple of years.
