I didn't claim to have an explanation. It's not my story.
I'm just challenging the story presented, and it's straightforward assertion that because x and y and z had to happen for this to be possible that they, therefore, happened. The burden of proof is not on me. :)
I still assert that they constructed an explanation for a situation, rather than discovered one.

First, species of ants high in alkaloids had to evolve on two separate continents. Why? France colonized Madagascar and some of South America. Is it not worth considering a possible migration of both the ants and the frogs via French shipping?
