Something's not adding up Huck. I don't think we have ever accumulated $53B of deficit in one month. That would be an annual run rate of $636B. Certainly, nobody would be crowing about that.
Look at post #11. The article says the deficit JUST FOR JULY was 53 bil, down from a year ago. The total deficit so far this year, the article says, is over 300 billion. And yes, ever since GOPers started chugging Kool Aid, they'll celebrate just about anything.
The deficit varies significantly from month to month. The government runs big surpluses in March and April (when people pay their taxes), and large deficits in most other months.
