I would say that voting Libertarian would split the narrow Republican lead, giving the DemoRats control

The Two-Party System is a big problem. While I detest multi-party systems (Italy, France, Germany, etc.) and proportional representation, I would like a Third Party and a Fourth.

How do we get there without handing the country over to another Clinton? One constitutional amendment is definitely needed: Our President ought to be voted in with over 50%. I think in a run-off, GHWB would have beaten Clinton. Perhaps even Dole!

"I argue that Democrat politicians are far left of what most people believe and farther left of most people they represent"

I don't disagree, but would you say that Republicans are any more honest?

Really, Democrats promise big goverment, and they deliver, Republicans promise small government, an gives us big goverment.

Yes, but it is a loaded question, we're dealing with politicians here, so many, by nature, do whatever is necessary to increase/prolong their power.

I certainly have more faith in the Republican party, but we the people must always apply pressure to keep them in the lanes. Thankfully, due to sites such as Freerepublic, we have better access to information, and a collected voice that can help us reel the suckers back in.

It all takes time and issues such as the fair tax/flat tax, social security reform, Medicare reform, malpractice reform, and a more constructionist SCOTUS are on the table and require constant pressure from us to make them reality.

They endorsed John Kerry in 2004. What more needs to be said?

You should all go read the link to the Congressional Record posted in the article and read the Communist Goals there. Most of them have already been enacted.
