MCMINNVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A former physical education teacher charged with having sex with a 13-year-old boy who attended the school where she worked agreed to a nine-month jail sentence in a plea deal Thursday and was immediately locked up.
Pamela Rogers Turner, 28, entered a no contest plea that allowed her to avoid a scheduled November trial on multiple charges of having sexual intercourse and oral sex with the teenager during a three-month relationship that started in November.
A court clerk said the nine months in jail is part of an eight-year sentence for the former homecoming queen previously described by the sheriff as "absolutely gorgeous."
Judge Bart Stanley accepted her plea and said the jail time would be followed by supervised probation. He also directed Turner to surrender her teaching certificate.
The mother of the teenager previously described Turner as a family friend and said she hoped there would not be a trial. District Attorney Dale Potter said Thursday that was part of the reason for the agreement.
Turner was arrested in February and freed on a $50,000 bond after investigators said they discovered the relationship. Potter has said Turner lived at the boy's house "for a brief period of time when she was moving from residence to residence" while she and her husband were divorcing.
Before resigning, Turner taught physical education and coached girls basketball two years at Centertown Elementary, a Warren County school for grades kindergarten through eight.

Damn......how'd I miss this one? I'm usually pretty good at keeping up on these "Red-hot-teacher-has-sex-with-someone-besides-me" stories.
She's hot and the kid will have bragging rights for years to come. One thing bothers me though, if the sexes were reversed do you think a man would have gotten off with only 9 months of jail time?

Why are these female adult teachers who sexually abuse kids either very attractive, or married, or both? I just don't understand it. Did she really think there was no adult man in the town available for her? What goes through the minds of these female adult married and/or very attractive teachers/child abusers?
It is preversion no matter how attractive she is. Her jail time should be multiplied by five at a minimum in my opinion and she should never teach again.

Yeah, I know, she's hot, and the 13-year-old kid is big man on campus, but that's no excuse. She ought to be staring at a hell of a lot longer than nine months in the slammer and years of supervised release. If some big buff Brad Pitt lookalike did that to a 13-year-old girl, we'd be howling for his head...how she looks and her sex really shouldn't affect that.

Whats the big deal the lady just keep this kid from loping his mule (pervertion) for however long she was living with his family.
He might have bragging rights now, but I wonder if you were to check back with him in 20 years how he'll feel about his teacher going to jail for him. I'm not saying he should feel guilty, but it would just be an interesting exercise to check back with him.

1- This story simply illustrates how American society is going down the tubes and becoming worse every day.

If she looked like Helen Thomas the judge would've thrown the book at her. Not to mention the poor kid would have killed himself.
Thereafter you should reluctantly accept the onerous job of confining her in your house so that you could oversee her rehabilitation.

Or maybe having had an older woman he'll be a better lover when he gets older, and the women he encounters will be better of for it.
