KYIV. Aug 12 (Interfax) - Ukraine's foreign trade surplus was $381.3 million in the first half of 2005, down from $2.371 billion year- on-year, the State Statistics Committee said.
Exports grew 9.2% year-on-year to $16.935 billion and imports rose 26% to $16.554 billion. Ukraine trades with 187 countries. [UA EUROPE EEU EMRG TRD MCE ECI RES] rm
Most of the people running Ukraine today (Yulia Timoshenko / Victor Yuschencko) are as corrupt as the old gang. We need to keep our hands off this potential hell hole and a failing state.
Don't worry your little head there, worry about Russia. I'll be right here pointing a middle finger when imports pick up again.
Ukraine is a new economy. It maintains a healthy surplus and nothing warrants to call it "potential hell hole". If you want a failing state I suggest you look east. I already have a day marked on the calender when Russia will be absorbed by China.

Well one thing can be said about the Russians, they'll fight the Chinese for their independence, rather then be absorbed. I'm hoping the Ukrainians do the same with the EU, of which I'm sure you'd be a happy little socialist member. As for failing economies, if you think the Russian economy is failing you know zilch about economics and I'd suggest you enroll at your local community college and learn some.

I wasn't reffering to Russian economy, but to Russia as political entity. Despite "federation" status it remains an archaic 19th century-type empire governed from the centre.

I could write a book, profesor.
Sometimes the jokes just write themselfs.
LOL
gee sorry, "professor"
