Well, we obviously disagree on WMD's. No problem. But, you might want to read the links on posts #69 & #83 on this thread - if you haven't already.
The 2+2=4 thing is just an expression and you don't understand what I meant about Buchanan's agenda confusing me. I voted for him and usually agree with him, but when an issue comes up and I'm the most sure of where he will stand, sometimes he surprises me. I would trust most of Saddam's relatives less than even UN reps. I think you're underestimating Saddam, his allies and the complexity of the situation.

How do some threads like this spiral into total disfunction/

Everybody needs to stop trying to be "right." There is no point in drawing conclusions about anything or anybody when we know so little.

Cherokee1's dismissals did appear to be rather aggressive. Others reacted to that and rationality seems to be slipping away. So then hypocritical statements that were aptly identified by Coop did begin to flow.

However, Cherokeel may not be trying to suggest that there are or were no WMD's, but that assumption begins to surface. Maybe there is a history I'm not aware of, but I didn't see it in this thread?

I too cringe when I see random Freepers "conclude" (with no expertise to do so) that they are looking at a picture of a "sophisticated" lab. Doing this can damage one's credibility. Waiting for confirmation is not such a bad thing.

Beyond this, I see Freeper's responding to Coop with the assumption that his position is the opposite of what it actually is, because they didn't bother to verify who they were replying to.

Others jump in with the assumption that this incorrect poster was accurate in his reply.

I don't even know what all the deleted posts were about.

EVERYBODY needs to stop jumping to conclusions, slow down, be more careful with their posts and have a nice discussion like good girls and boys. Lest we all look like fools.
