Unintended “Revelation”
Posted by Michael Calderon @ Saturday 13 August 2005, 11:53 am

The Mother of All Mourners, Cindy Sheehan, unintentionally gave away her true motives and that of the collection of pro-totalitarian leftist groups often incorrectly identified as "antiwar" by the habitually "lazy" mainstream media, the other night on Mess-NBC (MSNBC) "Countdown" hosted by Keith Olbermann.

The amazing aspect of this exchange is Olbermann’s failure to follow up with critical questions like:

"So Mrs. Sheehan, your real purpose all along has not been an unprecedented second meeting with an incumbent President of the United States, but rather an ongoing denigration of the President as you use powerful, emotional symbolism to make him appear an ogre?"

No such question was asked, in fact, Oblermann appeared to realize that Sheehan’s comments were a major gaffe and that it was best to let them sit there and move on.

Here’s the exchange:

OLBERMANN:  The nature of the media coverage you’re getting now, the response from other families of soldiers killed in Iraq, all of that, from the perspective of your protest there, in a way, isn’t it really better if President Bush doesn’t meet with you?

SHEEHANI would think so, yes.  I think it’s great.  And if he would come out right now, it would really defuse the momentum, and I don’t want to give them any hints.  And I think that’s something they’ve probably already thought about.

But, you know, but we’re here.  We’re committed.  We’re staying the whole month of August, and then we’re moving to Washington, D.C.  And we’re going to have a 24-hour vigil on his front lawn to keep the pressure on.  The pressure is there.  Sixty-two percent of Americans want our troops home.  And this is giving them a voice to stand up and be counted and say, You know, we want our country back, and we want our troops home."

Diffuse the momentum?  So, it was really never about a "second meeting", right?  Never really about grief, correct?  There are more families out there that have lost loved ones, and they do not share the leftist, "antiwar" politics of communists like Michael Moore, Medea Benjamin and Code Pink and communist fronts like the Fenton Communications, Tides Foundation, and George Soros, etc.

They also don’t have the luxury to camp out for an entire month in Texas because most of them do something that the majority of professional protesters never do:  They work.  They hold down jobs.

Where did the left dig up the 62% number?

Let the moonbat continue her 'vigil'. It keeps these leftist moonbats exposed. The longer they are out there, the more sick and tired of seeing them Americans will be, especially while Muslims are blowing up innocent people, and Mad Mullahs build nukes.

Cindy Sheehan...Keith Olbermann.

When Hairy Met Cindy

This sure answers the age-old question that's perplexed scientists for centuries, "What happens when an insane person encounters a black hole?"

It is probably correct; I for one want them home guarding the borders (AFTER the job in Iraq is finished).

It's obvious that Cindy is guilty of a Faux Cause and Cindy lacks a coherent exit strategy.

1. Cindy says she is only keeping vigil until the President explains how her son was involved in a worthy cause

and then, contradicting her first statement
2. Cindy says will keep her vigil until our troops are out of Iraq

Which goal is your real one, Cindy????

Conservatives have incorrectly attributed her celebrity to Move0n.org/michaelmoore type groups, she is totally a product of the MSM. Leftist groups have many heroes and heroines they can not get any traction unless the MSM adopts them.

Typical David Gregory/Kieth Oberman type question
Why do you think this woman’s protest has received so much publicity? As if the network news does not dictate what is "news". As if they are passive bystanders just covering whatever the public wants them too.

It is almost as good as their favorite response to any charges of bias.

"Well the right thinks we are to critical of Bush and the left thinks we are not critical enough."
Implying that their perspective and world view is neutral or does not lie on the same continuum as those of conservatives or liberals.

Using this logic the editor of the Nation Magazine could say conservatives consider us left wing the socialist workers party thinks we are tough enough on corporate America and not Marxist enough so I guess that makes us middle of the road moderates.

Isn't "the Nation" a bastard child of the Communist "Daily Worker"?
