I would not go so far as to insist on every American Indian creation myth, or other rare and esoteric religions, but one can logically find in a court of law that failure to equally represent say, Hindu, Buddhist, Taoist and Shinto would be "unconstitutional"...
That is one of the reasons I have been posting the creation stories! Very perceptive. But, why would the lesser ones be excluded? I'm partial to Old Man Coyote stories myself.
I too, enjoy them very much..
I simply being pragmatic..
Not every creation story can be told, nor should they..
The creation myths of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam all share the same origins..
Buddhism is a Major Religion, and to be honest, I am not sure it has a creation myth..
It may share it's creation mythos with...
Hinduism, another of the world's major religions..
Those are really "IT".. as far as the world's major religions..
The courts, ( and SCOTUS ) would not even consider anything else as deserving recognition as a major religion..
As we should all realize, the Supreme Court is where the issue of Creationism as Curriculum in schools is going to finally be threashed out..
I see a good offence as teh best defence..
Demand Equal Representation for All Major Religions..
I.e., If the Judeo-Christian-Islamic creation is to be included as an alternative to Evolution, then Buddhist and Hindu creation must be given equal representation as an alternative to Evolution as well..
I have been thinking that Religious Studies should be required to include alternatives as well, like required studies in Philosophy of Religion, History of Religion, etc., showing various origins of the concept of Monotheism, Pantheism, etc., so students of theology and religion will understand the origins of their religious beliefs..
Possibly a course of study in how Religion as a Political Tool has been used to control the masses since before the birth of Egypt, and how religious institutions abused their power to control entire nations, causing untold suffering and death...
Equal representation and all, ya know..
