What the author is saying is that sexuality is fluid, and he's not really saying anything we don't already know. What most folks don't realize is that sexuality can flow from heterosexual to homosexual, and of course from homosexual to heterosexual. There is a growing number of ex-gays.
We (society as a whole) need to get educated on the subject that gays can successfully leave the lifestyle.

But, this author is actually hurting the homosexual lobbiests case, saying that people are NOT actually "born that way", as they always tell us.
He actually makes our case, that sexuality is a MORAL issue. Society has an obligation to define for it's self, what morals that society wishes to accept.

I think that if teenagers get into homosexual sex, it's because of the same reason that teens of my generation got into sex at all; to rebel against our parents. Many of my generation think nothing of sleeping around nowadays, so the kids can't shock them with that. The kids have to think of something that is still, for the most part, taboo. So they get into homosexuality, or bi-sexuality, which means they have a larger pool of sexual partners, and they don't much care who it is. Unfortunately, it's difficult to pull back from the 'lifestyle' once you get too far into it, and with bisexuality, it just means you double the danger of AIDS or some really nasty STD.
The people who are pushing early sexual activity on the teenagers NEVER talk about how psychologically damaging it is, whether heterosexual or homosexual.

I can give a quicker translation of the article: "Oh BOY! More targets for ME!" The professor wants to confuse young people, making them more receptive to his homosexual advances.
