Germany has long been known as one of the primary logistical areas for the 9/11 attacks. Mohammed Atta and several of the 9/11 hijackers spent considerable time in Hamburg especially during the recruitment and research effort in 1999 and 2000 before coming to the United States to begin the actual work of preparing the attacks. The 9/11 report contains 75 references to Germany, most of them involving Atta and his team; a search on Hamburg generates 90 hits. Three of the four pilots came from the Hamburg cell (page 242).
With all of these references to Germany and Hamburg, the 9/11 Commission oddly failed to include a published report from March 2001 in a Parisian Arabic newspaper, Al-Watan Al-Arabi, about the arrest of two suspected Iraqi spies :
The arrests came in the wake of reports that Iraq was reorganizing the external branches of its intelligence service and that it had drawn up a plan to strike at US interests around the world through a network of alliances with extremist fundamentalist parties.
The most serious report contained information that Iraq and Osama bin Ladin were working together. German authorities were surprised by the arrest of the two Iraqi agents...by chance and uncovered what they considered to be serious indications of cooperation between Iraq and bin Ladin. The matter was considered so important that a special team of CIA and FBI agents was sent to Germany to interrogate the two Iraqi spies.
Not one word of this gets addressed in the final Commission report, as far as I can tell.
The CIA apparently knew something about this; why didn't it come out during the hearings? This looks like a very strange coincidence, that the Germans found such an extensive Iraqi espionage ring inside their borders...

This article states that apparently Able Danger puts Atta in Prague with an Iraqi intel officer.
I hadn't heard that before; has anyone else heard this?

This coverup is all about keeping Atta out of Prague and his meeting with the Iraqi intel officer.
GORElick, Able Danger, Sandy Burger, the NARAL ad, Cindy Sheehan's MSM/DNC festival...
I just read an article where Senator George Allen said Bush should meet with Sheehan again!
AIIEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
has anyone else heard this? ...Yes.
"The only dispute over Atta's whereabouts is whether he was in Prague on April 9, 2001, to meet with Samir al Ani, an Iraqi intelligence officer. Czech intelligence insists he was. Able Danger, apparently, had information supporting the Czechs."
"The CIA, and the 9/11 commission, say Atta wasn't in Prague April 9, 2001, because his cell phone was used in Florida that day. But there is no evidence of who used the phone. Atta could have lent it to a confederate."...A common practice.
Surprise surprise...
The left will do as much to block this new information about Able Danger and Atta in Prague meeting with Iraqi intel as they will do to block Supreme Court nominations, imo.
We have to be ready for it.
If it comes out that Iraq was involved in 9/11, all hell will break lose and left loses their "illigitimate war" mantra.
And you know that for years I've been collecting information that shows Iraq and AQ worked together, a fact admitted even in the 9/11 Commission Report. But I think it went even further than just working together. Ramzi Youseff, the first WTC bomber, had an Iraqi passport and took refuge in Iraq.
Iraq's newspaper wrote in July 2001 that OBL would be bombing the place where it hurt before (NYC) and we'd never again sing New York, New York without crying.
Now, unless we believe that OBL was just gossiping with Saddam about what was coming for NY, then we have to believe that Saddam was in on it somehow.
Also, even the United States can't duplicate or weaponize the airborne anthrax used in the October 2001 attacks. It's my firm belief that Iraq was involved. Links, etc. here:

I mean, beside that article I linked, had anyone else heard that Able Danger operatives put Atta in Prague with the Iraqi intel guy?
Atta had a fake passport from terrorists arrested in Spain. The stories about being stopped while driving in Florida to prove he couldn't have been in Prague at that time ARE PHONY STORIES IN THE PRESS.
I believe what you wrote.
What I want to know is, the article I linked states that Able Danger placed Atta in Prague.
Prior to reading that article, I hadn't heard that Able Danger did any such thing. I had, of course, heard and believed that Atta did have meetings in Prague.
I specifically want to know, has anyone else heard Curt Weldon or anyone else mention that Able Danger placed Atta in Prague.
It's my understanding from reading some other posts on another thread about George Allen's comments, that they were made BEFORE he knew that the president had already met with Cindy.
Me too! (sigh)
I'm confused on this, too. I think people are stretching the AB story to show that it was possible Atta went to Prague.
The 9/11 Commission existed not so much to examine the truth of the various conflicting stories of where to lay the blame for the vicious attack on the US that day, as to keep too much from being known by the general public.
Richard ben Veniste and Jamie Gorlock should never have been on that panel. Keeping Henry Kissinger off was nothing less than sabotaging its entire mission.
But surprise, surprise, surprise. The greater story keeps emerging from the place where it was concealed, and the collusion that went on is being progressively exposed.
Will anything ever be done to those who obfuscated and hobbled the investigation? Probably not. Will the results be reversed? Probably not. But we shall surely look with a skeptical eye upon the reports of any future commission set up to "review" some calamity that may (oh, Hell, there WILL be one!) someday befall this nation.
bttt
Not one word of this gets addressed in the final Commission report, as far as I can tell.
The report was essentially written before the commission was even seated. Anything that didn't fit didn't count. The "9/11 Commission" was long ago dismissed as a laughingstock and its report is not worth the paper it's printed on. Pheww... What a colossal waste of taxpayer money, just to pander.
