MIL-MIDEAST-GAZA-ABDUCTION French TV reporter abducted in Gaza

GAZA, Aug 14 (KUNA) -- A group of unknown gunmen abducted on Sunday a foreign reporter outside a hotel in western Gaza, said spokesperson of Palestinian Interior Ministry Tawfiq Abu Khoseh.

Abu Khoseh told Kuwait News Agency that the abducted is a French man of Algerian origin, noting that the kidnappers left behind three French people accompanying the Algerian.

He noted that the Palestinian security authorities opened an investigation immediately and started a wide-scale search operation to locate the reporter, who works for a French television station.

Abu Khosen condemned the abduction on behalf of the Palestinian Authority, noting that it corrupts the image of Palestinian people, who are preparing for the Israeli withdrawal from Gaza.

He added that orders were given to the Palestinian security authorities to guarantee a safe release for the reporter as soon as possible.

A few days ago, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas ordered security authorities to protect foreign guests in the Strip, especially reporters, after the abduction of two foreign employees working for the International Aid Agency a few days ago in the city of Khan Younis.

A score of foreign reporters are currently present in Gaza Strip to cover the anticipated Israeli withdrawal.

Is it hard to abduct someone when their hands are in the air?

By the way, that (Hands in air) is NOT a surender for the French. That is an offensive move if ever there was one. Have you smelled these people?

Sounds like they knew exactly who they were grabbing.

If it is a french reporter they will be released. No trade value, no recognition factor.
Unless the captuers are American,

No need to worry. The perps are just after a little spare change (2-3 million) and the reporter will walk.

Everybody knows the quickest way to pick up money is to pick up a Frenchie.

Liberalsim is either a mental disorder, but I prefer to think of it as evil. Either way, evil has gotten hold of these people and no amount of "understanding" has saved them.
