You sure you are on the right board?

He did say look like thugs. I would say that if this dude had over his 50 closest friends, and they safely and legally did some target practice with their licensed machine guns, there'd be nothing wrong with it--but the media would indeed have fun spinning them as "typical" conservatives, which they would portray as neo-nazi skinhead AK-toting rednecks. There can be PR implications.

But one guy with a shotgun is small potatoes. If he would just get a target, and shoot that, then he could bother the crap out of the protesters without giving the press much of a foothold to spin it. Shooting into the air, they can--and are--spinning as a direct threat.

Playing to the wider world beyond FR, how do you think gunshots near the President's ranch is going to play out? As stunts go, it doesn't seem too wise.

Hardly worth a kitty.

Funny, the Pali's are firing guns into the air all the time and the left seems to approve of it. I don't suppose they're dove hunting either.

OK, I, Dawgreg, being a Texan by birth and a Texan at death, do certify that babyface00 is an honorary Texan with all the rights (braggin' and otherwise) afforded to native Texans. Welcome aboard! *~*

Sorry, they are trespassing on his property. Since it is his land he has every right to chase people off his land.. I would do a same thing if a bunch of uninvited smell hippies came on my land..

Oh, prolly a hissy fit or two will be pitched; usual suspects will be "deeply concerned" - same old, same old.

For which, I do not care.

Thanks for the reply.

Well, it depends on which kind of doves he's talking about. There ARE war doves. I'm sure the irony isn't lost on the protesting doves. Or maybe it is. They do seem a senseless bunch.

Being a Texan is a good thing.

My dad, brother, nieces all live in Texas...but I got married to a man I haven't yet convinced to relocate there...

He must first say the Texas pledge/salute to be official:

"Honor the Texas flag; I pledge allegiance to thee, Texas, one and indivisible."

Right off, you know that a Freeper with the name "Cambridge" is sitting at a Starbucks on the Charles River in Massachusetts, nervously concerned about the World thinks...about the USA, or Free Republic.
