Let not your heart be troubled.
Mixing in discussion of Judge Roberts...Weldon on later.
Could someone explain something to me? The story we are being pitched is that Able Danger was looking into Atta belonging to an Al Qaeda cell - but since Atta was a "US Person", although not a citezen or green card holder, nevertheless a person legally in the US, he could not be investigated by the FBI.
Does that story really make sense? Hundreds of suspected middle-east terrorist sympathizers or supporters, never mind active cell members, were intensely investigated by the FBI for years. Look at Sami al-Arian:

His phone was tapped for 10 years.
Is it possible the FBI DID have tabs on Atta and company the whole time?
CLINTON KNEW
I think the FBI can investigate anyone it reasonably suspects is committing a crime. The issue with regard to Able Danger is whether the Defense Department was prohibited from passing on information to the FBI.
"You're a great American!"
He just had an interesting conversation with a man whose daughter enlisted in the USMC, and has just gone to boot camp.
this spells trouble - when Sean gangs onto something like this it's usually a pretty good contra-indicator that the story at bay has run its course as he's always the last one to catch on to trends & see the light + he's a always a good sucker to spew the Clinton line for things that his DemoncRAT friends in the media totally set him up for.
I hope he, and others, keep this alive since it is getting very little coverage elsewhere!
Exposure of the issue is what I'm interested in...
"Is it possible the FBI DID have tabs on Atta and company the whole time?"
That makes it worse. Possibly two agencies knew of Atta .. were following him .. and we still didn't connect the dots ..??
If that's true, we sure have a lot of ultra liberal, anti-war, anti-American people in our govt.
...The crime has to be a federal offense, I believe. If not, it's up to local authorities.?.
I agree. The more light is shed the better.
There's two guys named Mohammed Atta, and both have connections to AQ.
