The Left has long used the example of Timothy McVeigh to claim racial profiling is not only morally wrong but also ineffective. After all, a white male committed this act of destruction. However, the reality shows law enforcement officials always had the right profile in the Oklahoma City Bombing.
Amnesty International has been in the forefront of the anti-profiling vanguard. An Amnesty International report stated: “When law enforcement officials focus on what people look like, what religion they follow, or what they wear, it puts us all at risk. Several incidents in history illustrate this risk…In 1995, after bombing the Alfred P. Murrah federal building in Oklahoma City, Timothy McVeigh, a white male assailant later convicted of delivering the bomb alone, was able to flee while officers operated on the initial theory that ‘Arab terrorists’ had committed the attacks.” (Emphasis added.)
The author of the report, Niaz Kasravi of Amnesty Internationals Domestic Human Rights program, said that following the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing, authorities pursued people of Arab descent while the real bomber, Timothy McVeigh, a white man, fled.
....The “Timothy McVeigh eluded police because white people are not profiled” mantra is not true. It is a myth propagated by ideologues who want to discredit law enforcement.
The truth is within 24 hours after the bombing of the Murrah Building law enforcement officials did develop a profile of the Oklahoma City bomber as a white male, in his twenties, with military experience, linked to a militia.

Many witnesses placed McVeigh and Arab assailants in the same place. Before the attack, McVeigh stayed at a motel on the outskirts of OKC and he was supposedly seen with Arab fellows loading barrels of material onto the Ryder truck.

The bottom line is...people around the world aren't all that worried about Tamil terrorist, Irish terrorists, Basque separatists, or Kamikaze pilots.
They are worried about Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40.
This is a great point that liberals refuse to understand.
Note the headline on FR today that David Duke of KKK fame (or was he a Nazi?) supports Sheehan the traitor, who is also supported by Muslims.
I didn't read the article, so that's the extent of my (little tiny bit of) knowledge.
They both share a hatred of America and Israel.
I'm not so foolish to think it could be and end all be all, since, logically, terrorist groups would now recruit outside of their ethnic background to find willing attackers.
Examples would be a Jose Padilla, or John Walker Lindth, or some of the Algerians that France is dealing with.
The common denominator is still muslim, but the ethnicities on those guys varied, if Al Quada is forced to recruit non Arab members, that means they are being forced to change plans and, also give our guys opportunities to get in there and get intel on them (if not terminate them outright).
Stopping them, hindering them, disrupting them, and making them vulnerable are also steps that would automatically follow as a result if we utilized profiling.
We should be forcing them to adjust their methods and means, instead of them forcing us to always react to their operations while under self imposed politically correct limitations.
But its more conceivable that if they did, we could infiltrate them alot easier and get our own guys inside their organizations.
If they have to open up to outside groups or other races to respond, then we can use our own agents to get inside of them (i.e. it is no longer farfetched they would not be willing to recruit or accept guys who are white, black or spanish).
The more people involved or who know of a sleeper cell, the more vulnerable it is.
Making them have to open themselves and become more vulnerable to recruit members of different races or form alliances, makes it much easier to both track, infiltrate and gather intel on them as targets.
2 young white males in Oklahoma out of fifty million young white males in the US vs. 11 young muslim/arab male assassins out of twenty thousand young muslim/arab males going through our airports - the odds are still overwhelmingly in favor of finding muslim wrongdoers by profiling them.......

Read The Third Terrorist by Jayna Davis. It will make your skin crawl and give you every reason to support racial profiling. There is a middle eastern connection to OKC.
