We have right to know truth about CAIR
WorldNetDaily.com ^ | August 16, 2005 | Mychal Massie

Conventional wisdom would dictate if you, your group-organization and/or religion as a whole were viewed with contempt by some, skepticism by many and distrust by nearly all, it would be prudent to try to diffuse ill-will.

But said logic is not part of a reasoned thought process when it comes to the Council on American-Islamic Relations – at least, it doesn't appear to be part of Ibrahim Hooper's, their director of communication.

Appearing on my talk show "Straight Talk with Mychal Massie," Mr. Hooper displayed the character of a petulant child as he feigned indignation so as to cut short the interview that would have forced him to articulate the truth of his position.

In less than five minutes of air time, the person responsible for putting forth a favorable presentation of CAIR hung up, leaving the audience with nothing to warrant a change in opinion of him, his organization or his religion....

Apparently two of us were preparing posts at the same time. Let's send all the comments to the thread who banged the buzzer first:

Massie ran into the same exact type of behavior from Hooper that Michael Graham and other conservative talk show hosts have encountered. Graham took Hooper apart in their debate, and then shortly thereafter he called Islam a "terrorist organization," both in his published column and on the air. Hooper mobilized his minions and threatened both WMAL's sponsors and ABC Radio with boycotts, bad publicity, and presumably law suits if Graham was not punished. ABC Radio buckled and ordered WMAL to suspend Graham indefinitely. He hasn't been on the air since (unless he was on this morning--I missed his show while at work).

In light of CAIR's clear victory over WMAL, I would not be surprised if Hooper tries to do the same thing to Massie. Conservative talk radio needs to be ready for this guy, who will resort to any measure outside of violence to silence Islam's public critics and promote his own distorted view of the so-called "religion of peace."
