Well I know any time I open any time of bank account, I need to sign a waiver saying that the ept of homeland security will have access to information about the account under the patriot act, etc. I also can't use library computers anonymously any more. All libraries in the area require a drivers license to get a library card, and a library card to get on the computer (they auto log off after a few minutes of inactivity).

I've also heard all books you check out can be known by the feds.

I'm sure there is more serious/intrusive stuff involved with the patriot act, but this is all I have personally experienced.

That must be your bank, as I've never had to sign a waiver saying that and I've opened 4 bank accounts since the PA was implemented.
